Postsecondary education is more crucial than ever. Yet, it’s benefits have never been more unequal. Facing rising tuition costs and an uncertain labor market, underserved students take on tremendous risk to finance higher education. Many accumulate debt without the guarantee of a stable job, or even a degree. We seek to create systemic change in social mobility, workforce development, racial equity, and economic inclusion. Outcome is an education finance start-up devoted to offering a new financing model for higher education that can increase transparency and de-risk the decision to pursue higher learning. Outcome was incubated by Hangar, a firm that funds and builds technology companies tackling public sector market challenges. Outcome is a distributed and remote-friendly team, with headquarters in New York City. We approach capital creation with novel perspectives, and actively seek experiences and backgrounds that are diverse, nuanced, and varied. We are a focused, but fun group with experience in finance, education, and tech, and government.
