Ourdata is a for public benefit corporation that aims to restore balance to the media ecosystem. By sharing some of the enormous profits ad platforms make using the data of regular consumers we can disrupt the real and growing threat of ad blocking. We propose the millions of dollars currently going to the largest ad blockers be redirected to the publishers own users. At Ourdata, we believe the consumer should have a choice, block ads and data tracking, or get paid to allow them. By accepting the IAB's own proposed seventh solution, we can restore harmony and trust to the media industry and realign the interests of publishers with their users. Ourdata pays users based on the number of shares they have not on their behavior. You earn shares for joining and for referring others to the community. When it comes time to pay users it will be on a per share basis. Our referral system is a potential way for charities to earn money. By sharing their referral code with their community, they can accumulate many referral shares. Additionally, we are developing the capacity for users to donate part or all of their shares to their charity of choice.
