Otto is a team of the sharpest minds in self-driving technology who are driven to rethink transportation – not just improve it. At the heart of Otto’s vision is the belief that self-driving technology is the key to creating a more viable, efficient, and above all, safer, transportation future. Our initial product is a self-driving kit enabling long-haul trucks to drive on their own on highways.

Otto’s aim is to solve the core challenge first – building safe, reliable self-driving technology that enables trucks to drive on their own. In an Otto truck, the driver is able to play more of a supervisory role, which allows trucks to drive more miles and drivers to be safer and more productive. Otto believes this future should happen sooner, so we are building the technology to retrofit the 4.3 million trucks currently on the road.
