OSSIC is an audio technology company that blends proprietary software with consumer hardware to deliver immersive 3D audio experiences for all content.
The first product is the OSSIC X, a smart 3D-audio headphone aimed at the pro-sumer gaming, entertainment, and technology markets. The OSSIC X leverages physically informed algorithms to calibrate to the individual listener’s head and ear features, increasing overall sound quality and ensuring the most accurate sound placement, making for a listening experience that’s ten times more immersive than current technologies and is applicable to all content and devices.
The OSSIC X’s initial launch raised over $2.7M in 58 days, becoming the largest VR-related crowdfunding campaign of all time. To date, the OSSIC X has received over 13,000 pre-orders and has garnered awards including CES’s Best of Innovation 2017 and Pop-Sci’s Best of What’s New — all incredible milestones for any startup.
