Payroll and employment are built for corporations, not individuals. By 2028 there will be an estimated 90 million people in the US classified as "self-employed". There's a need for a system to allow independent workers (freelancers, gig workers, solopreneurs, sole-proprietors, independent contractors) access to employment benefits (especially low cost/high quality healthcare insurance), payroll processing and shared services (accounting, tax withholdings, compliance, etc). Opolis is this ecosystem.
