The story of OlaGate really starts from own experience, what I notice, with the rise of technology, the world is becoming more isolated each day. Most of us don’t feel they belong to their community. We live like stranger in our communities and buildings, with very little connection with our neighbors & neighborhood. In big cities, we have lost the sense of community & our own neighborhood looks scary to us.
In the world of social media & technology boom, It is surprising to see, there is a rise in hiring hesitation and fear of paying more due to lack of trusted references.
Let me share you my own experience, a few years back I hired a power wash service provider based on online search, assuming local service provider. In reality he turned out to be completely outsider, end up breaking my patio lights & delivered bad service with big attitude. The questions remain in our mind, can those thousands of reviews on google and yelp be trusted or do we need better solution?
We build OlaGate, because we believe everyone in the communities & buildings, need to have sense of belonging to enjoy their life. We believe that, we have the responsibilities to take care of our neighborhood, keep it safe and happy.

It connects then with like-minded verified neighbors of their own community, through a private social network, creating an opportunity to extend those digital connection in real world.
On OlaGate, residents can, connect with neighborhood businesses, shop from the same community app, find local service providers, that were hired & reviewed by their own community members, giving them the opportunity to have trustworthy feedback before hiring. We envisioned to empower the local neighborhood economy, through “Connect Direct. Order Direct. Hire Direct.”
