The main stakeholders of the energy industry suffer from inefficiencies due to the lack of transparency in the energy market. Prosumers (those who both consume and produce energy) earn less money year after year, while consumers see their energy costs going up. Furthermore, the research reinforced previous findings that prosumers wish to exchange energy in their local area and that there is a need to stabilise low voltage energy grids by matching demand and supply.
