Nuclera is a next-generation DNA synthesis company addressing a growing market need – valued at £1-2 billion with a CAGR of 10% – for both cost-effective and rapid methods to synthesize long DNA strands.
Through our proprietary, biologically inspired and water based DNA synthesis platform, we aim to (1) be the key provider of DNA synthesis at lengths greater than 500 nucleotides and (2) compete with the molecular cloning market to provide ready-to-use plasmids to the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, as well as academic laboratories. In order to develop our technology, Nuclera has secured funding from angel investment, Innovate UK Proof of Concept and Development of Prototype grants, and NWES grants. By providing rapid access to highly accurate, long DNA products Nuclera will expand research horizons and accelerate R&D of the next life-saving drugs in the global market.
