As a 100% remote engineering team, here is a little bit about how we work and communicate: * Use whatever development platform you're comfortable with - OS, IDE tooling etc, so long as it works with our tech stacks, supporting engineering platforms and services. * Slack and Google Meet for synchronous communication. There’s very little email :-) * GitHub Issues, Discussions and Projects to manage development and delivery; with the emphasis on engineering work, not administration * Google Docs for specifications, research, documentation, process and other asynchronous communication * There’s opportunity to do fundamental technical research and experimentation, engineering analysis, breakdown and planning and on-code implementation work. Depending on how you’re wired, you might also like to interact with product as we shape features or with support once we ship to customers. * Engineers generally have 1-2 squad meetings per week, a 1:1 catchup with their manager once a week, and are in control of whatever ad hoc meetings they need with other engineers to advance their work. We aim to keep scheduled meetings for engineers to <2 hours a week in total :-) * We have a monthly all engineering meetings usually to celebrate success in shipping features, share technical learnings and discuss improvements to our systems and processes * Our CEO/COO/CTO hold a a once a month all hands / whole company meeting to hear more about the market, our customers and how the business is growing
