We believe that nutrition is the cornerstone of a person’s physical and emotional development. It is the basis of his/her dignity, emotional integrity, character, confidence, knowledge, fears and prejudices. The inequality that affects victims of food insecurity becomes a scandal when we consider that we throw away a third of the food we produce in the world. There are over 820 million people who suffer from malnutrition could give this food a better use. For these reasons, at Nilus we believe deeply that we have a real shot at making a meaningful contribution towards balancing these inequalities. We believe that if we develop the right technology and processes, prioritizing our users needs above all other considerations, people will be a step closer to achieving the dignity that we deserve as humans beings.
