News Deeply is an award-winning media and technology company that delivers journalism in the global public interest. We use a mix of technology and design to cover the news with greater clarity and enhanced user comprehension. Our platforms also serve a diverse array of corporate, institutional, and educational clients. Our philosophy is simple: channel news and information into single-subject platforms, through highly engaging user-centric design. We add focus and clarity to issues that are missing from the mainstream news cycle; in doing do we raise awareness around the most important issues facing our world. News Deeply is also working to advance foreign policy education in US schools, creating an open-source lesson plan for students and teachers that won the endorsement of the National Council for the Social Studies. By offering intelligent analysis and journalism with an authentic voice we engage a loyal and influential audience. That enhances our ability to gather communities of experts around a given topic. By monetizing our community, rather than our content, we can keep much of our content free. Within a year of launch, our flagship platform, Syria Deeply, became a celebrated source of digital journalism. The National Press Foundation gave the platform its 2014 Excellence in Online Journalism Award. Our project partners have included the World Economic Forum, the Asfari Foundation, the Baker Institute at Rice University, and Columbia University's Tow Center for Digital Journalism.
