Every year, approximately 300 million waste tires are discarded in the U.S. Most will end up in landfills or be burned, emitting tremendous amounts of greenhouse gases and other pollutants into the atmosphere. This commodity-rich waste stream presents both a disposal problem and a resource opportunity that can generate significant profits using NBT's process.

NBT leverages microwave technology to reclaim valuable commodities that are locked up in waste tires. Our closed loop, non-combustion process converts scrap tires into high quality and saleable carbon black, gases and fuel oil. The carbon black can be sold to appropriate markets, such as tire, hose, paint, and ink manufacturers, and the reclaimed gases and fuel oil can be used to generate power from this waste stream.
