2020 will be known as the year that changed the education system. The pandemic has made academic support programs (ASPs) across the country struggle to help their students succeed academically online. Traditional in-person programs are struggling to move online due to lack of scheduling and logistics tools and limited staff to aid the transition, and lack of centralized communication has resulted in lower student participation and engagement. This has resulted in ASPs to either completely shut down during the pandemic or fail to meet the learning outcomes of the very students they sought to aid.
