Design review - provide Owner design review of Turbine and Generator Manufacturer and consulting Engineer of Record submissions. As a project team member, work with consultants to find optimized design solutions that meet project requirements while aligning with project cost and schedule constraints. Provide oversight and engineering expertise on various hydro systems such as hydro generator and turbines units, station service systems, powerhouse cranes, emergency diesel generators, high pressure oil lift systems, motor control centers, high voltage switchgear, balance of plant systems and equipment, transformer systems, battery banks, DC systems, instrumentation and condition monitoring systems.
Review design and oversee installation and commissioning of turbines, hydraulic gates, large cranes, and mechanical systems such as HVAC, fire protection, and drainage.
Provide field support during construction, managing Request for Information (RFIs), contractor quality, and adapting to changed conditions.
