Mountain Hub is the first global real-time network for the outdoors, inspiring people to discover and experience the outdoors safely. The MIT founding team initially developed a professional platform for crowdsourcing winter safety information, which rapidly scaled to more than 400 organizations and 12,000 professional users sharing 35,000 data points across 50 countries last winter. Mountain Hub is now expanding the platform for all outdoor enthusiasts including hikers, mountain bikers, climbers, kayakers, backpackers, skiers, and more. Mountain Hub will be the largest network of crowd-sourced information beyond the paved roads. The mobile and web platform offers free and paid subscriptions for individuals, as well as organizational licenses for professionals, outdoor brands, and retailers. Mountain Hub has received back to back Top 100 Innovations of the Year from Popular Science and is one of Outside Magazine’s 2016 Best Places to Work.
