Mote careers

We launched in March 2020, and by April 2020 we were growing exponentially. The original product idea was to solve asynchronous collaboration through voice communication embedded within SaaS apps, starting with Google Docs. However, the early user group turned out to be 99% teachers - who loved how quick and easy it made their student feedback. There's more than 3m teachers in the US, and 75m worldwide, so we decided it was a big enough initial market to target.

Product
The mote Chrome Extension helps users to record and share voice comments, embedded within the applications that they already know and love. We were a little inspired by Grammarly, which has focused on solving an embedded problem and achieved huge scale.  Users love what we do - save them time and help them deliver better feedback. 

Traction
We now have more than 1m users of our Chrome extension. 

Team
Alex and I have been working together on startups and  companies (Vevo) for the past 4 years. We are a Delaware Corp, but our team is distributed across Europe and the US.
