MoodMovie is a social movie recommendation, available on the app store. It differs from the competition due to its active and user-friendly approach. The vast majority of the competition use passive recommendations which are related to historical user’s tastes. MoodMovie, however, guides users to choose their recommended movie by answering a simple user-friendly questionnaire, or by typing hashtags, to find movies according to their mood at that specific moment.

We commercialize this recommendation system to B2B customers such as vod providers and movie studios thanks to usercollated data and our hashtag system:

1) Users receive recommendations
2) Users put hashtags on movies to describe it
3) Thanks to hashtags, MoodMovie’s recommendation become more accurate and enables it to add to its fast expanding database containing movie related data

This system has enabled us to collect more than 50,000 #tags associated to thousands of different movies.
