Founded in 2011 in Beijing, Momo has grown to become immensely successful internationally, with over 180 million international users registered and using Momo’s location-based social networking service app to-date, primarily in predominantly Chinese speaking regions, making it one of the most heavily downloaded and used mobile applications in the world, and one of the most high-profile venture-backed mobile application startups in China. Momo currently has over 700 employees in China. Momo was created for and driven by a singular goal: to help everyone understand and interact with the real world around them, and empower people to form lasting real-world groups and communities, through meaningful communications with the people around them.
