Our founding team (Jonathan Ho, William Chan, Chitwan Saharia, Mohammad Norouzi) includes machine learning researchers and engineers who were responsible for notable generative media projects, including Imagen and Imagen Video for text-to-image and text-to-video synthesis. The team is experienced in setting the vision for AI projects, in technical execution of them, in marketing AI technology, and in creating and nurturing large developer ecosystems.

Our mission is to make creative expression universally accessible, fun, and efficient, and as a result help humans become orders of magnitude more creative. We are focused on advancing and commercializing generative media technology, including AI systems for text-to-image, image-to-image, text-to-video, and 3D asset generation and editing. We aim to create a premium brand in generative media with a focus on media quality, generation speed, and trust and safety. We will develop state-of-the-art generative media models that have the potential to transform and expand the creative economy including gaming, commerce, marketing, advertising, industrial design, photography, music, and the movie industry. We will make generative media models available to the world through our platform. Our headquarters are in downtown Toronto, but we also have a small presence in New York City.
