**** PLEASE NOTE NO SALARY - EQUITY ONLY **** We’ve learned from our Facebook group members that the most requested improvement was “more events” and that even with an atomic network of 20,000 local users, only a tiny percentage of users actually create events (we also learned why - social anxiety). Additionally, because only a small number of users generated events the scope of events was limited which meant a large portion of the user base was underserved and became inactive. Whether it’s Miit, or Meetup, or Facebook Groups the bottleneck is always the supply side - finding people to create events/activities. Conventional thinking is that this problem can be solved by building more atomic networks (more refined location, more specific interests, other factors, etc) and making it easier to generate events and communicate. But these incremental improvements are not a 10x solution and the reason so many similar products fail is that they don't address the core problem - people are afraid of putting themselves out there. We turn this problem on its head by automating the supply side and using what we know about our user’s interests, values, and stage of life to automatically generate activities that allow them to opt-in with a simple swipe, eliminating the friction and awkwardness that at present prevents many people from participating. Users just flick through things to do and people to do them with as casually as they do Tinder without all the social anxiety. It removes all possibility of rejection and makes them feel like there's an endless stream of activities for them to enjoy with cool people to meet. It's effortless and magic.
