Mobile video games teaching kids how to harness their emotions
Many kids struggle to calm their emotions which can create family conflict, poor performance at school, and worrisome social isolation. Clinical studies have proven that deep breathing, as well as other coping skills, can help kids calm their emotions and regain self-control. However, learning to apply deep breathing in the moment requires real-life practice that just can’t be simulated in a talk therapy setting. Mightier has created emotion calming mobile games where players must regulate their heart rate to win. The games empower kids to practice self-calming skills that transfer to real-life situations. The Mightier approach is backed by a decade of clinical research at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School and by thousands of happy kids who have become mightier than their emotions.
