We're hiring our first Head of Partnerships to own and grow the relationships that matter most to Metabase: the AI platforms and data warehouse vendors our customers build on every day. You'll work both ends of these relationships — building alignment with partner leadership teams...

• General ledger & close — manage and review the month-end close (run today through external accountants); investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Audit — own the external auditor relationship; coordinate information requests internally; investigate and resolve issues that surface

• Talk directly to customers to understand how they use the product and where it falls short
• Build a deep understanding of user workflows, especially in data-heavy environments

• Own and proactively improve our GitHub Actions-based CI pipelines — not just fixing what breaks, but anticipating bottlenecks and reliability issues before they impact the team
• Triage and resolve flaky tests across a large, multi-layered test suite spanning unit, integration, and end-to-end tests — identifying systemic patterns, not just one-off fixes

• Iteratively refine our data, build models and help spread data throughout the team to enable self-service analytics
• Organize our datasets and do complex transforms using SQL & Python.

• Own and operate our application stack and AWS infrastructure to orchestrate and manage our hosted customer instances of Metabase
• Debug runtime issues across the different levels of our application stack and hosting stack.

• Experience in Clojure (or a strong desire to learn)
• Track record of shipping products of significant complexity

• Talk to our users to understand their goals and challenges
• Help customers design and optimize their Metabase implementation

• We focus on solving root problems rather than applying superficial fixes
• We care more about a solution “feeling” right than rigidly adhering to “consistency”

• Directly manage a team of engineers and help them ship features that delight Metabase users.
• Work closely with Product, Design, and Success teams to plan and execute on the product roadmap, balancing feature development, tech improvements and bug fixes.
