SMB Kids (from Sound Mind and Body, read SaMBa) is a mashup of physical activity, meditation and breathing exercises for kids. It helps kids to know and better control their own body and mind.
Wireless sensors, digital games, video projection mapping, psychomotricity equipment and toys are at the “hard” side. Pedagogy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Nutrition, transmedia storytelling, music, meditation and breathing exercises are at the “soft” side.
This comprehensive approach favors and supports children’s engagement in physical activity and also enables the followup of their evolution – in real time, if needed – by health professionals. Physical educators, physicians, physiotherapists, psychologists and other professionals can use the platform to evaluate the children, prescribe activities and monitor their progress.
The whole program creates active kids and makes them develop their emotional control, which leads to the empowering ability of learn to learn and an enhanced creativity.
