Memri's mission is to empower people by unlocking the potential of their data. Despite generating more data than ever, our data has less utility than ever before because it's siloed and can't be manipulated or visualized easily. Our platforms are designed to capture our attention, manipulate and divide us, and prevent us from efficiently meeting our goals. Memri is a 100% privacy-by-design solution that helps people break their data out of these silos. Memri is an open source project and consists of a Personal Online Datastore (or pod) combined with programmable front-ends. Memri enables a new kind of relationship with your device, that is centered around you, and takes away the pull on your attention or the need to manually find what you are looking for.

Memri supports many networks, and functions as a single user controlled user interface and data storage system that is searchable through ML assisted indexing of the user's content. No manual labelling needed. Our first use cases are focussed on impacting the lives of busy professionals, families and those managing households. Widespread adoption of Memri will give rise to a knowledge market where people get paid to train ML models on their data while keeping their data private — using SMPC, differential privacy and other techniques. Memri will be at the forefront of this new data economy enabling individuals to pool their data together in data collectives to increase the (exchange) value of their data.
