Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death. Imaging of the heart became a crucial element of contemporary cardiology and cardiac surgery. Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) is one of the most difficult imaging modalities, used not only for diagnosis but also for guiding contemporary structural interventions on a beating heart.
MST provides sophisticated simulation tool allowing to teach and test the complex TEE skills. The unique feature of our solution is the use of the heart model based on Computed Tomography (CT). Thanks to that, the user can practice on a virtual patient having a feeling of a real TEE study. It greatly improves the learning curve giving the opportunity to interpret many true pathologies, using the most contemporary imaging modalities (2D, 3D, Color Doppler modes). It is also a great platform for virtual training of structural interventions.
