What does that mean? What is this?

Before I tell you about what MeasureMenuY is, I'm going to convince you - in just a few sentences - that science is broken. Then I'll tell you how MeasureMenuY can fix science and integrity in research. Ready? Here we go.

Researchers are pushed to constantly publish interesting study results. But what if their study didn't find anything interesting? They could be embarrassed for having wasted years of work and millions in funding, and their whole staff could lose their jobs. So, they have an incentive to lie and pretend that their study found something interesting, and they get no reward for saying the truth. That leads to lots of exaggerated and false research.

- 1 in 50 researchers ADMIT to having falsified their results for this reason.
- 1 in 8 researchers KNOWS about a faked study that is still out there, uncaught.

So what can we do about it?
The academic community has been trying a punishment tactic for decades, increasing the penalties and shame for fraud, but it hasn't helped.

At MeasureMenuY, we provide a way for researchers to publish even when they don't find interesting results. We're able to do that by scanning their dataset in a totally different way than any other statistics software does. Once they have a good result, even if it isn't what they originally thought they could find, they have no incentive to fake their results.

So we repair the incentive structure, and take away the reason for punishment by taking away the reason for crime. With dignity.
