Industry-specific, value-add venture capital investor, making direct equity and venture debt investments in Massachusetts-based clean energy companies (technologies or business models that significantly reduce fossil fuel
consumption).

Equity investments: typically $500-$600K Seed, Series A, & Series B
Venture debt: from $100K-$1M

We take a long term investment approach, with the goal of filling critical funding gaps for clean energy companies that lack support from traditional investors. In addition to generating a financial return, MassCEC invests to advance clean technology, reduce energy costs, and drive economic activity as we help companies grow, reach key milestones, and create jobs.
