Unlike other hedge funds, our investment team is made up of technologists, computer scientists, engineers, and others with no formal investment background necessary. We are looking for raw intelligence, intellectual curiosity, and strong technical backgrounds -- and a deep interest in how the world works and a point of view on what the future looks like. In short, we are looking for people of all backgrounds who know things about the world that we don't know. In addition to our job of making money for our investors, Marcho Partners is also a mission-driven organization that is focused on our role in the broader community. In addition to the Fund, we have also established Marcho Partners Foundation which uses some of our fees to support programs that encourage and mentor entrepreneurs in emerging markets. We believe that people around the world are losing faith in their political leaders to solve the pressing problems of our world, and that burden will increasingly fall to entrepreneurs to advance humanity.
