MakePi is a startup that was born to empower learners, makers and educators. We have a background in STEM education and technology that comprises Happy Code’s computer science teaching across U.S., Latin America and Europe. As a result, we came up with a simple idea: to build an educational tablet that children all over the world could build with their own hands and learn how to code! Designed to inspire and empower STEM learners, makers and educators, MakePad is a 10.1″ touchscreen display tablet that will bloom worldwide children access, interest and knowledge of computer science. Even at the most remote locations, our Raspberry-Pi-based tablet will counteract the absence of internet connection with our embedded-make-mods and make-music applications… a truly untethered learning experience.
