MadeClose is building the technology solution for conscious consumerism, which, in its simplest form, is a transparent eCommerce marketplace for locally, responsibly made goods. More than a marketplace though, we are building a holistic platform including content creation and exploratory functionality to establish a much needed leading voice in the buy local, buy responsible market.

We started MadeClose because we found ourselves among a dissatisfied consumer class - more knowledgeable and tired of poorly produced, mass-manufactured products. We were looking for companies that cared about responsible and local production, but found the search to be difficult, time consuming and confusing.

There are two groups of people - conscious consumers and responsible makers - who are looking to interact, yet have no simple solution to facilitate their connection and communication. MadeClose is the central, trusted location for these groups to connect easily and confidently.
