Our proprietary technology is a deep learning system that predicts and generates playlists to help users move towards their target mood state. BioMIR (Biological Music Information Retrieval) is a deep learning system trained on thousands of users worldwide to learn the human emotional response to music. This system helps LUCID understand which musical features will elicit a particular emotional response, thus creating fit-for-purpose musical experiences for health & wellness outcomes.

We developed this technology in response to the lack of empathy and accessibility in the mental health system. Those who are facing mental health challenges are often presented with solutions that come with negative side-effects or a high price-tag. Many clinical studies have shown music’s positive impacts on the body and mind - significantly in mood, stress levels, pain, and memory.
