The Company: LookAllure is a Stanford-based startup operating at the nexus of fashion and technology which is leveraging visual search to redefine the way people shop. LookAllure’s team currently comprises 3 computer science Ph.Ds and 1 MBA, and is mentored by three business advisors with a wealth of startup exit and IPO experience. The Opportunity: The ideal candidate is an experienced front-end mobile engineer for iPhone or Android with at least one year experience who is self-motivated and passionate about startups. UI/UX expertise is a plus but not required. The candidate should be willing to work closely with our team but remote work is also OK. Both full-time and part time is possible. The Product: LookAllure’s iPhone app allows users to visually discover and search for fashion items such as shoes and bags. For example, a user can take a picture of a shoe she likes or pick a shoe curated by fashion editors, then the LookAllure app will find similar products and where to buy it. Users can save time and money by visually searching for what they like across many stores within a single app. Our patent-pending visual search technology enables users to discover fashion in the most natural and intuitive way. We released our product on App Store in October 2013. Our first vertical is shoes, and we plan to expand to handbags, clothes, and accessories in the future. We have the best visual search and recognition technology on the market. Compensation: We prefer to work with someone on cash + equity or equity only.
