Loci Languages careers

Loci Languages is a remote-first App-based language learning company, building products in the Unity Games Engine.

From an idea developed at UCL Edtech Labs, Loci has discovered a technical solution to how to train the key area of the brain required for effective language learning, and hence process language like a native speaker from the start. No other app has successful achieved this, which is why outcomes in language teaching are frequently so poor.

The App/Game follows characters through "real world" locations like Shanghai and Paris, and a stylised 3D "dream world" where the technical innovation is embedded in comic-style stories. The stories introduce the learner to the classic tales of their chosen language while dream-world challenges help the learner see the connections between words and language in a new way. The founders, Duncan and Will, are both developers who met while running a previous software startup 6 years ago.
