Andre Spivey creates apps for children who have learning disabilities with a diagnosis of autism. He created his first one out of a need to help his son, and now has a company to make apps that parents can actually use with their special needs children. Apps meet the special needs of autistic children by using special sensory tools to learn colors, math, eye-hand coordination, and other cognitive skills. Children with the variety of learning disabilities on the autism spectrum learn in different ways, and these apps meet the needs of these children. The apps are different from others in that they are IEP based, meaning that they meet the needs as prescribed by the teacher and school system for individual children. The customers are parents who have a child with the diagnosis of autism. It helps the parents help their children learn with special tools in addition to how the schools are helping them. Apps can be used with the Individual Education Program .
