LitRemix offers a key ingredient that is missing in the ecosystem of teaching (or even encouraging) young people to read: Motivation. By leveraging the universal appeal of music and visual art, we are poised to help millions of parents and teachers inspire their kids to read. Our collaborative app is based on peer-to-peer learning, combined with the culture of sharing, consuming and creating art. (think YouTube). We have the vision, the 15 years of teachers saying "yes" - we do NOT have the expertise to create a business model (that includes competitive analysis, forecasting, budgeting, etc) to attract the investors we need. We owe them this due diligence and we are running a search to find the right person for the job in exchange for equity. This is such an interesting disruptive game-changing idea - the team we build will have a wonderful time AND make money.
