Our product is a solution to problems that we faced ourselves. We first founded a Freelance marketplace for Pakistan and bootstrapped it to 6 digit dollar revenues in 2021. This was done as a response to seeing inefficiencies and delays working with agencies during our jobs. However we noticed that most freelancers would try to bypass our communication restrictions to freelance outside our platform. We researched and it turned out that almost 90% of freelance work actually happened outside freelance marketplaces via social media, referrals etc. So to facilitate Freelancers to sell their services directly we created an instant landing page that could be created within 5 minutes. This time we raised pre-seed funds from Sarmayacar, a top Pakistani VC as well as US based K3 Diversity Ventures . We launched in Feb 2022 with a Freemium model and got immediate traction with 12K signups within 3 months. During this time we had been struggling to find a marketing agency for ourselves. The process was tedious, we couldn't afford the best agencies and of the ones in our budget, we had to fire two within the first month. Ultimately we hired Freelancers working at top agencies from the pool of talent that had signed up on Linkstar to create their landing pages. The results were immediate and the quality was a level that we could not have afforded otherwise. We realized that we could help other SME's and startups facing similar struggles. In May, we were accepted in to the SOSV accelerator program and launched for businesses in June 22. We have since been doubling our revenues MoM with more than a 100 businesses served. During the same period our landing page subscribers too are growing at 150% MoM. Our 30 strong team includes former marketers with experience launching regional marketing solutions at Daraz-Alibaba for brands in 5 countries in Asia as well as experts on Influencer marketing with experience managing campaigns for top local and international brands.
