Jobs at Linkqlo
Linkqlo (bit.ly/linkqlo) is a pioneering consumer-centric mobile platform for sharing and discovering clothing brands. It aims to solve one common issue faced by many consumers in the $1 trillion global apparel industry - that it’s hard to find clothing that fits our body size. Linkqlo helps consumers find better fitting clothes by crowdsourcing data on one objective and quantifiable common denominator among users - our body size. On Linkqlo, users can record and share their comprehensive body sizing measurement data through an anonymous mobile social network. Unlike Bonobos, it doesn’t try to create another new brand; unlike Trunkclub, it doesn’t try to push recommendations based on taste or style; unlike Gilt, it doesn’t try to engage users with discounted price; unlike Net-A-Porter, it doesn’t try to create another online shopping mall; unlike Polyvore, it doesn’t target only the fashionistars; unlike Fitbay, it doesn't ask questions that no one has answer for; unlike many “fit-tech” fashion startups, it doesn’t rely on advanced 3D/infrared body scanning technology to “automatically” capture body dimensions; unlike many digital-tailoring startups, it doesn’t focus on the niche made-to-measure segments. Unlike all the above existing startups, Linkqlo does not position itself as a fashion startup, but an infrastructure-level apparel play, based on the belief that there are more than enough ready-to-wear clothing brands already available in the world and the challenge is how to match up brands with consumers in a non-intimidating, non-judging user experience. Linkqlo is founded by Herbert Yang (linkedin.com/in/herbertyang), a three-time serial entrepreneur with global footprint who has co-founded startups in China and Silicon Valley. Before starting Linkqlo, Herbert was a co-founder of Dragon Dreams Animation Studio (in a race to build China's Pixar) and Galaxy Idea (China's first LBS app in 2010, sold to Renren in 2012). Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Herbert was CFO for Impression Art
