Electronics manufacturing is a strange industry. On the one hand, its incredibly sophisticated in what it produces (like the laptop or smartphone that you're reading this on). On the other, it's incredibly archaic in its digitization and engineering process innovation. Nowhere in the chain is this more evident than in the phase of in-line testing for quality, prior to a product being shipped. Linefox is building web-based software to allow hardware companies and manufacturers to streamline design and maintenance of their testing systems. Every feature on a hardware product requires its own physical and digital test infrastructure for the manufacturing line. Designing, deploying, maintaining and gathering data from these is a huge drain on resources for both big and small companies. The software that Linefox is developing will allow these design and maintenance tasks to be partially or fully automated allowing for the NRE (non-recurring engineering) to be performed directly by the engineering team and used for both development and manufacturing tests. The founders of Linefox have a background in venture capital and engineering for hardware companies. We have worked with over 100 small to medium companies building products ranging from consumer electronics to medical devices, robotics and IoT sensor systems.
