1. Likealke Intro: Likealike is a free app that lets you find new friends in New York City through meet-ups. What's outstanding about likealike is that it matches you up with like-minded friends based on your interests. To simply put, it’s like a combination of Meetup and Twitter where a user can simply follow like-minded people on Likealike to subscribe to and join their meet-ups. 2. Traction from Beta & Next Steps We’re based in South Korea and have remotely done our beta targeting NYC in the first half of this year, successfully getting +3,000 users and +200 meet-ups. Throughout the beta period, we spoke with our users and found the areas they are having problems with from existing services. We put together users feedback and data analyses to come up with the better Likealike solutions thus far. With these promising numbers and solutions, we’re in contact with well-known Korean investors to raise about $500K in order to move my team to the city to fully try out Likealike. We expect the deal to be closed this month and will move to the city sometime in December. Upon our arrival, having $ 40K for marketing in hand right now (more marketing budget will be added after the deal's closed), we will be focusing on winning over great local hosts to our Likealike platform while continuing to develop the office version. Our goal in the first half of 2016 is serving 30K users. To achieve the goal, we will rent an apartment in Manhattan, live there together and enjoy working day and night. We are still at an early stage but with promising proof thorough the beta and about to raise the seed, meaning it’s the perfect chance to join the team!
