LIFT Aircraft careers
LIFT Aircraft has developed the first electric, vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft capable flight up to 1200 ft that is classified as an Ultralight by the FAA. Instead of selling the aircraft, we’re creating an entirely new type of recreational flying experience in safe, controlled and beautiful locations that will be accessible to everyone - no skill or license required. Anyone who has dreamed of flying, but does not have the time, money or skill to get a pilot's license, can now experience the thrill of personal flight.
We're leveraging the ‘Powered Ultralight” classification, for which the FAA does not require certification or a pilots license. This category is for aircraft like powered hang gliders used solely for recreation and sport and limited to a single seat, 55 knots airspeed and 254 lb max empty weight (plus allowances for floats and safety equipment) and can only fly in uncontrolled, class G airspace and not over congested areas.
