LexSort Legal is a local-first case management tool built specifically for Ontario criminal defence lawyers. Everything — client communications, disclosure documents, matter files, AI-assisted extraction — runs entirely on the lawyer's own machine. Nothing goes to the cloud.

Criminal defence practice involves some of the most sensitive material in law: unredacted Crown disclosure, wiretap transcripts, informant records, and constant client communication under real time pressure. Commercial cloud AI tools require uploading this material to third-party servers, which creates real confidentiality and Law Society of Ontario compliance risk. LexSort was built as the alternative: a sovereign, on-device workstation where AI helps organize and surface information, but every suggested action requires the lawyer's explicit review before it's committed — human-in-the-loop by design, not an autonomous agent making decisions unsupervised.

We're an early-stage, pre-revenue company, and we're upfront about that. We're working with a practicing Ontario criminal defence lawyer for product development and feedback, and in active hands-on co-design with a law student testing the application directly. We have a native desktop application for macOS, verified end-to-end on a clean install, with a Windows version in active development.
