The South Korean Entertainment Industry is going through explosive growth. Hallyu, a term coined in 1999, captures the fan phenomenon surrounding Korean Pop (kPop) and Korean Dramas (kDramas). Since then, the industry has seen a progressive rise in popularity, with an exponential increase in the last decade with approximately 3.3M Hallyu fan members in 2011, to 9.3M in 2013 and estimated at around 90M today. kWave fully recognized this increasing global trend and are poised to foster worldwide growth and interest in the Korean Entertainment Industry by fostering the interests of the non-Korean speaking community.
