Tasks that were traditionally assigned by a manager now are being controlled by efficient software algorithms. And the tasks are being completed by people who opt-in to labor marketplaces. This means in many areas of work, traditional employment is being replaced by independent contractors.

Forbes describes these “below the API jobs” as dead-end. Our belief is that software's inevitable march towards efficiency will eliminate management overhead and middle management jobs, but the work still needs to be done, it is just more likely to be done in the future by people working independently.

Kung Fu’s mission to make these new marketplaces and platforms work as well for the people who power them as they do for consumers and companies.
