Knock4 is looking to exploit a gap in the booming social-networking market. An interest-based social network; Knock4 enables its users to explore their interests on and off-line in a social environment. It will be powered by great, new technology that integrates every aspect of the application into everything else to give a brilliantly seamless, self-learning and semantic system. People use Facebook as a hub where they can communicate with their friends. They use LinkedIn as a hub to communicate their careers and qualifications. Currently nowhere exists where people can login and discuss all of their interests, find places to take part in them and find other people who share those interests. We’ve become a society where pastimes are put to the backseat and at Knock4 we believe that this can easily be changed; shifting happiness and recreation back into the forefront of people’s lives. Recreational activities are vital to the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle in humans. This is true for both physical and mental health. With a growing population and a dwindling public health budget, local government is looking more and more towards using communities and the private sector to assist with public health. Knock4 can help communities by aiding local communities with signposting, assisting people to find activities that they enjoy or can help improve or maintain their health. Knock4 combines interests (the things we love) with social (a great way to interact) to produce a combination of two great things.
