People at Knap

Knap is building out its initial engineering team. The first few hires will have an outsized impact on how we build and what Knap's culture is like. We hope to emphasize collaboration as well as independent ownership of goals. Our belief is that our team will function at its best when they're given latitude to innovate freely, and I've worked at companies that have succeeded and others that have failed to build this environment. My co-founder and I value hybrid work. In-person days are critical for building relationships, forming trust, and iterating quickly. Our current plan is to have coordinated days set aside for working from home as well. We're based in San Francisco and are eager to have our team plug into the AI hacking culture that's thriving here. Our team comes from Stanford, 23andme, and Lambda, and we've worked at both Seed-stage startups as well as large public companies. With this experience, we will form Knap to be an excellent place for people of all levels of experience to build together.
