• Collaborate with experienced software engineers on backend projects. These projects can involve:

Developing features on services of the entire backend system.
Building components and integrating them with our in-house computer vision models.
Developing software services to enhance data flow and to improve the quality of our products.
Work cross functionally to build tools and platforms, automate processes, speed up data delivery, and work on the cloud infrastructure with a focus on performance monitoring.
Write high-quality, efficient, and scalable code in languages such as Python, JavaScript, etc.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our coding standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test new features and improvements.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing regular updates and progress reports.

• Develop revenue-generating strategic partnerships to help grow Kargo across existing and new product lines.
• Identify and incubate areas of potential development and growth where we have potentially strong product/market fit.

• Support Kargo’s enterprise business by sourcing, lead and demand generation, and providing data insights to sales leaders.
• Work closely with our sales team, providing tactical marketing support to unlock new opportunities to our largest accounts.

• Hybrid hunter/farmer role: Responsible for net new business, along with upsell/cross-sell and renewal of existing customers.
• Maintain and develop an active pipeline of forecasted opportunities to meet quarterly objectives.

• Own all electrical systems across Kargo products including camera system, compute, power, battery, and networking.
• Work with external design partners to develop custom electronics to specification.

• Work with Account Executives and commercial leadership to drive outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling, emailing, and communicating our value proposition to decision makers.
• Leverage prospecting tools to research companies and identify key decision makers at new accounts.

• Development and testing of our camera-based computer vision system, including ideation and early concept development, modeling, proof of concept assembly, testing and analysis.
• Work with Sales and Product team members to refine system optical requirements for our camera and illumination system.

• Build a scalable, performant and robust data infrastructure that enables data ingestion from edge devices, various data processing pipelines, and APIs for frontend data representation.
• 5+ years of experience in backend software or infrastructure engineering.

• Build our customer-facing web dashboard and integrations with customer systems.
• Build APIs on top of our data platform for accessing and managing internal data.

• Manage end-to-end product development efforts; guide programs from requirements definition through to validation, certification, ramp-up, and sustaining.
• Highlight all schedule risks and expectations with our CEO, while running and managing project meetings.

• Quantitative analysis – including clustering, regression, pattern recognition, or descriptive and inferential statistics.
• Communicate the results of analysis to product, engineer, and leadership teams to influence strategy.

• Build CV/ML algorithms for various tasks around vision, including training and optimizing CV/ML models.
• Build the backend or edge infrastructure to scale our training and inference workload, including training pipelines, evaluation, and model deployment.

• Drive Kargo’s software sprint planning processes. Work closely with Kargo’s software team to ensure timeline and result line up with product requirements.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team's ability to meet goals. Communicate regularly with key stakeholders on status and risks.

• Own features and drive them from design, to coding, to testing, and deployment.
• Work closely with our product and engineer teams, owning a large part of the process from problem understanding to shipping the solution.
