Kalos has a new way to treat both primary tumors and comorbidities in cancer without the toxic side effects of Chemotherapy. Kalos is developing drugs from peptides which circulate in your body naturally, like the AMP family peptides Kalos has overcome the "toxic hurdle" discovering a small motif within the ANP family of peptides that appear to control cell growth without toxic chemicals. Like the full length peptides, this small piece mimicking ANP works through a specific receptor subtype to inhibit activity in one branch of the MAPK pathway. A pathway used to develop other successful anti-cancer drugs. Unlike the full length peptides, however, this motif has a small size (8 amino acids) and little if any secondary structure. The ACM is, therefore, safe,& nontoxic while controlling cells and acting upon abnormal hemodynamics which allow this novel breakthrough technology to work in many virulent diseases, such as Pancreatic, Ovarian and Breast cancer.
