Over 1.2 billion analog watches are sold each year, 30 million of them are Swiss Watches. 2016 is the year of transition. If fitness trackers dominated in 2013 till 2015, analysts predict that smartwatches will overtake fitness trackers in 2016. In fact, Gartner predicts that smartwatches will take up $11.5B in sales in 2016. We have seen tech companies focusing more on fashion and fashion companies trying to get more technical. There has already been some acquisition (Fossil-Misfit, Intel-Basis) and partnerships (HP-Movado, TAG-Intel). Kairos was created in 2013 to focus on one thing - creating an analog-digital hybrid wearable technology. In 2014, Kairos started it's own crowdfunding campaign- hitting $2M in revenue. Kairos has shipped out over 1/3 of the pre-orders to date, and will clear out all orders by April 2016. Patents were granted. Major partnerships have been formed. Kairos is now ready for market entrance in 2016 and are looking for strategic investors to join the journey.
