Hi there! We're Kahawa 1893 (kahawa1893.com), a black- and woman-owned coffee company based in Berkeley, CA, specializing in African coffee. African coffee is some of the most highly-prized coffee in the world, yet farmers -- often times women -- are typically paid pennies on the dollar and don't receive the same recognition that producers in other industries (like wine) do. We're here to change that.

We sell coffee directly to consumers online as well as to businesses like coffee shops, grocery stores, and gift shops. We just launched in all ~200 Trader Joe's stores in California.
