The MSI-TX thin film stabilizes biologic materials (live virus and bacterial-based vaccines, as well as antibody-based therapeutics) in a thermostable film matrix for ease of shipment, storage, and administration in both developing and industrialized countries. MSI-TX can be used to directly deliver vaccines and therapeutic payloads through buccal (inside the cheek) or sub-lingual (under the tongue) routes. Alternatively, our thin films can be rehydrated in order to recover the therapeutic payload in an aqueous solution, which can then be administered via various routes.
